Alex lost his second tooth today!
A couple people had suggested to Alex (6) that he tie a string to his wiggly tooth and then tie the other end of the string to a door knob, and well, you know....
I am not sure he was clear on the concept-- but he was working on getting it out...
He has been causing a cringing, nails-on-a chalkboard (shoulders-shrugging, eyes-squinting, head-turning) reaction in me, every time he jiggled it.
I am SO glad it is out.
Post extraction conversation:
Me: Alex, was your tooth ready to come out or did you pull it out?
Alex: yes I did
Me: you did what?
Alex: pulled out my tooth
Me: did it hurt?
Alex: no, it did not hurt
Me: why did you do that?
Alex: (giggling) because I wanted to
Me: why did you want to?
Alex: Because I wanted to show daddy when he got home
Me: you could not just wait until it FELL out?
Alex: No
Me: Why?
Alex: Because I just couldn't wait
Sam: how did he took his tooth out?
Alex: grunt groan grunt, (while motioning with his hand toward his mouth).
Lovely.
We all know he just couldn't wait to put it under his pillow and see what the tooth fairy would bring.
P.s.... (It 's $2), it is probably too much- but what about inflation?

How much does the tooth fairy leave for a tooth at your house?
