Today was GOOD. I got a haircut while the boys were at school. I tried out a new babysitter and got to a yoga class.

The new sitter is the sitter I have literally been looking for for years. After girls who don't know what they charge, girls who don't call and don't show when they agreed to come, girls that surf Facebook on my computer while we are out, I think I finally found one worthy of the $12 an hour she charges.

Reasons why I LOVE the new sitter

1. She called me back within 24 hours of request

2. She arrived on time

3. She seemed interested in the kids

4. She played with the dog

5. She ASKED if she could do homework after the boys went to bed

6. She never turned on the television, she was doing homework at kitchen table when I arrived home

7. When I got in, she briefed me about what they ate (a lot of mac n cheese, carrots and an otter pop for dessert) what happened (they played hide and seek and read some books) and detailed Sam’s meltdown at bedtime (Sam hid under the ottoman when she said it was time for him to put his pajamas on, it wasn’t all that bad he calmed down had a drink of water, got his pajamas on and went to bed). All that is exactly what I expected. That she explained it, earns her bonus points

8. She said she is available in the future!

9. She drove herself home!

10. Best of all! She cleaned up the kitchen after dinner!!!!

11. SHE IS CPR CERTIFIED!!!!!
