Turns out that skipping yoga and not racing all over town has it’s benefits. Today, I took in the calming benefits of picking some things from the garden. The main things I picked were some mixed greens (left) mustard and arugula (center) and carrots (right). Sam loves to help pick things in the garden. He followed me along and we picked these goodies. That Sam loves to help slays me about as much as the gorgeous vegetables that we pulled from the soil.
Soon we will have pears, strawberries, more greens, and green beans I hope. In even more time, we will hopefully have zucchinis, tomatoes and basil (photos and update to come).
When I got inside I was excited to see that Michael brought in the mail, and the order I have been waiting on from Seeds of Change arrived in the mail! The order included a selection of 9 different varieties of lettuce, called the “Heaven Seed Collection”! Ruben’s Red Romaine, Rough D’Hiver (Heirloom), Sucrine , Cosmo-Savoy, Bronze Mignonette (Heirloom), Oscarde, Blushed Buttercos, Red Iceberg (Rare), and Formidana.
I better stop typing and get back out in the garden, this time to DIG! Hooray for summer!
